Photography is something our family holds very close. It’s something we enjoy doing together and most of all, it captures moments and memories that we never want to forget.
Over the past six years, we’ve worked on refining our style and implementing some of those captures into our home. You guys may remember I shared last year about our special beach trip with Cove – you can read it all here. Long story short, Ian surprised me on the last day of our trip and took us to a little beach in between Crystal Cove State Park (which we named Cove after) and Victoria Beach (one of my favorite beaches in Laguna). He remembered I had wanted to dedicate Cove on our own in a place that reminded us of the big picture and not ourselves.
We had previously dedicated him with our friends and family at our church. Ian planned a little evening, which included reading and praying over Cove and watching the sunset together. It was actually the first time Cove enjoyed being in the sand and we had so much fun just sitting there together as a family. The sunset was perfect and gave the beach this pinkish hue. We, of course, captured a few images while we were there, and they ended up being some of my absolute favorites. Probably because that moment was so special to me and still makes me cry when I think about it.
I had the photo in the pictures above blown up on an engineered print a few months back and it sat in our closet. I couldn’t find the perfect frame anywhere, until I uploaded a sample image on Framebridge. We partnered with them on a campaign a little while ago, you can read about here, but I had never mailed an actual print in to get framed before. The process was so simple and easy. Ian’s building out his new office right now, and we will definitely be sending in the stack of prints he wants to get framed for it.
You can pick out any one of there many frames yourself, or have one of their great designers help you. We decided on the Monterey Frame in the biggest size they offer, and it couldn’t have turned out more perfect. We needed a piece to hang in our kitchen seating area, which opens up to the living room. I wanted it to be bright, bold and big.
Framebridge did not disappoint and came with all the necessary screws and hanging pieces we needed. It is definitely one of my favorite pieces of wall decor in our home and Cove frequently walks up to it and goes “WOOOAAAHHHH!” I love having a piece that has special meaning and represents us without being a family portrait.
