Hi Tops Low Hem and Thoughts on Blogging

January 20, 2017

I just know that a cold front is on the way, but for now I am really appreciating all the sunny and warm days in January. When Sign Here Vinyl sent me The Paige Dress, I thought it was the perfect transition piece. It’s drop hem line with fun ruffles and loose fitting structure make it prefect for running errands or dressing up for dinner one night. I paired it with my favorite Vans, Sk8-Hi, and wore it out the other day for lunch and shopping with Ian. I have always been so nervous to pair sneakers with dresses. I am not quite sure why. But now that I have, I’ve realized that its the most comfortable combination.

The past month, I have been thinking a lot of about this space and the kind of content I put on it. I would love to hear your thoughts on your favorite posts and what you want to see more of. I had a friend challenge me the other day to share more from my heart, and that really resonated with me. Sometimes it’s easy to put out the pretty because sharing our thoughts can expose us and make us feel vulnerable. While I think there is good balance of both, I would love to hear what you think! I hope you all have a wonderful weekend.

Hi Beautiful! I love the grey dress and it is so cool that you paired it with white sneakers! I feel the exact same way about blogging too. At first, I wanted to create this image that things were all lovely and perfect. But, after realizing that it is okay to express my imperfections in which I have many and stresses of life (juggling motherhood + blogging) I found it so therapeutic and was surprised my readers engaged more. The connection was made! We are human and it is important to be authentic and connect! I am so excited for your journey and so proud we get take this together! Thanks for visiting my blog earlier!

I ADORE the casual dress with the ruffle hemline!! It looks very comfortable and add those sneakers and it’s a grand slam. I also think its wonderful to connect with your readers beyond the fashion. That being said, I have a hard time doing that myself. It’s something I am going to work on in 2017 as well!!
