Daylight Savings is one of my favorite days of the year. No joke. I don’t even care that we loose an hour of sleep because I am so pumped for a later sunset. One of my favorite things to do every spring / summer day is sit on the back porch and watch the sunset. And if I don’t get to be outside, I open up all the blinds and watch it as I cook and eat dinner. The other day we spent the afternoon in Chattanooga right at golden hour. It was stunning to see the sun set over the water and all the golden light it shed over the art district.
With spring approaching, I decided to pull together a lighter look with some white jeans. This chambray top has some of the cutest details and is super flowy so you don’t have to worry about what you eat for dinner. WIN! My necklace was made by my girl Dee at Dee Ruel. You may remember one of her pieces from this look last summer. She is a fabulous jeweler and makes some of my most cherished pieces of jewelry. Last year, when we were in California, I wrote about how we dedicated Cove on the beach, right next to the state park where his name was inspired. That night, there were tons of beautiful pieces of sea glass and pebbles across the sand. I decided to pick some up and take them home with us (I guess we know now why Cove is a rock fanatic, ha). I reached out to Dee soon after to see if she would make me a piece, using one of the stones, and she came up with the most dainty sterling silver pieces. I fell in love and was so excited to be able to wear that memory we had as a family. I thought it fit this look perfectly.
I hope you are all having a fabulous week! Thanks for reading, and be sure to shop the look below.
