Our Fall Bucket List

This dress is from Pink Blush and I’ve been loving their fall line. All their clothing fits so well, yet still loose enough for a pizza / baby bump. Which means it will last me throughout my pregnancy. I have quite a few of their non-maternity items also and love them. They have so many great styles for everyone. Now that it’s officially fall, I feel like I can share our fall bucket list. Some things are every year traditions, and others are things we’ve never done before. I am so excited for all the family time and activities for Cove.…

Thoughts on Things: Funfetti Cake, Fall Decorating and Flannel Dresses

Okay, so now that the secrets out and I’m not doing Whole30 with Ian, I have to share that I have been craving bagels and sweets almost uncontrollably, which I never ever usually want. In fact, we went out late one night and picked up stuff to make a funfetti cake because I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I feel a teeny bit bad that I have been eating all this food in front of Ian, but he’s had one or two cheat days since we started so he’s gotten in on the funfetti fun. I am really hoping to get the…

Head In The Clouds

It took about 9-10 weeks for the news of our new arrival to sink in. Not because we weren’t excited, but I think we were just surprised and it felt a little surreal. We had our second appointment about a week ago and since the baby was hiding a bit, we couldn’t hear it’s heartbeat on the doppler. We got to have a little ultrasound and for some reason, in that moment, it all sunk in. I could see their little hands moving by their head and that heart beat we heard at our first appointment was still loud and clear. We…

How To Throw A Look Together When You’re Running Late | Fifteen Minutes to Be Exact

I wouldn’t say I am a “late” or “lazy” person, but having a kid has basically cut my “getting ready” time in half most days. Sometimes it feels like there is literally no time. Have you ever seen that meme “My kids look like baby gap models, but I look like a Walking Dead extra”? Yeah, I totally get that. Over the past year, I’ve gotten better at learning to throw together looks and trying to stay polished even if that means I only got to see my self in the mirror for under five minutes. So I thought I’d…

The Perfect Gingham Dress and My Friday Favorites

Is it just me or is anyone else ready for some of that cool crisp Fall air? I’m not one to wish away summer, but I am so ready for all things Fall, including being able to walk outside without suffocating. I have been loving this dress all summer. It’s the perfect straight cut and fun gingham pattern. I paired it with this jean jacket and my favorite clogs. I love the dresses you can transition into Fall when it doesn’t really feel like Fall yet, and this is definitely one of them. Also wanted to share a few things of my…

Honey Yellow | What I am packing for the beach

It’s no secret I’ve been obsessed with yellow this summer. Mustard, golden and honey. Especially this honey dress from Thistle & Finn. I love the criss cross details and the boho feel of the layers at the bottom. I wore it on a double date the other night, and it was a perfect day to night dress. I just threw a long crotchet cardigan over it and paired it with some strappy sandals. You probably remember Thistle & Finn from this post here. Their clothing is made well and is perfect for a bohemian look. We’re headed to the beach…

Feeling Floral | Dress That Hides Taco Bumps

It’s been a minute since I’ve shared an outfit post with you. I’ve been so excited to start dressing for summer and probably pulled out my sandals way too early. This year, instead of going for items that are just fashionable, I have been trying hard to only buy and wear things that fit our lifestyle. Surprisingly, it doesn’t mean I have to dress boring. It just means pulling together outfits more intentionally. Instead of just buying something because it’s cute, I’m asking myself will it fit comfortably when we’re out, will I be able to wear it multiple ways…

3 Things To Ask Yourself Before You Buy Something

Anyone else guilty of buying things you know will sit in your closet for the next 5 years until you finally purge? Okay, glad that’s not just me. I started really trying hard to get rid of one thing every time I buy something new, but I also started asking myself three things before I buy something. Is it comfortable? If its not, we all know I won’t wear it. Mom attire doesn’t call for scratchy and it certainly doesn’t call for me pulling and adjusting things all day. I am so much happier when my clothes are comfortable. Don’t…

Hi Tops Low Hem and Thoughts on Blogging

I just know that a cold front is on the way, but for now I am really appreciating all the sunny and warm days in January. When Sign Here Vinyl sent me The Paige Dress, I thought it was the perfect transition piece. It’s drop hem line with fun ruffles and loose fitting structure make it prefect for running errands or dressing up for dinner one night. I paired it with my favorite Vans, Sk8-Hi, and wore it out the other day for lunch and shopping with Ian. I have always been so nervous to pair sneakers with dresses. I am…
