1. My heart has been so heavy lately with the events that have occurred in our nation. Broken for many brothers and sisters who fear for their lives. Broken for the world my son will grow up in. Broken for the darkness that seems so loud. But, there is a beautiful promise and hope we have. Hope in His word, His life and His love. 2 Chronicles – “if my people who are called by my name humble themselves, and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sin and heal their land.” May we humble ourselves. May we love our brothers and sisters. May God heal our land.
2. I’ve recently tried some fun summer recipes and I am no chef by any means, but I have really enjoyed coming up with healthy and fun recipes for our family. I am going to share some of my favorites with you all soon! But in the meantime, if you have something yummy, light and healthy you love to make, I would love for you to share with me!
3. On the subject of food, Ian and I have developed this really bad habit of week night runs to Publix for our favorite Telanti gelato. Mine is Double Dark Chocolate (Flavor #3). We always justify it by saying we ate really healthy all day (which we do), but we really know it doesn’t cancel itself out.
4. Lastly, I am super excited about Maker’s Market coming up next Sunday. I have quite a few friends who are participating and they have some AWESOME pieces that I know would be great additions to your life. Our friends (who also make ridiculously cool jewelry that I wear all the time and we’ve done a trunk show on) are adopting a baby boy, so part of the proceeds go towards their adoption fund. If you are in the Atlanta area, I would love to meet you there.
