I sat across from Elizabeth at the coffee shop, and couldn’t help but feel her radiating joy. She has so much love for everyone she comes in contact with, making her beautiful inside and out. Not to mention she is incredibly talented. I have lived in my Bizzy’s Boutique headband for the past month. It is the perfect accessory for any outfit and works great with my messy bed head on the weekends. Plus her matching Mother-Baby headbands are enough to make anyone have baby fever.
We’re excited to announce with this month’s Trunk Show, there is a special giveaway located at the bottom of this post! Get to know Elizabeth a little more below and make sure to enter for a chance to win a free headband!
Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you started Bizzy’s Boutiques.
My name is Elizabeth and I am the daughter of a crafty mother and grandmother. My fondest memory of my grandmother is the joy she found in making my sister and I clothes and blankets when we were young. My mother has made everything from the curtains that hang in her kitchen to the cozy red throw blanket in her bedroom. Their ability to make an idea come to life by the work of their hands has inspired me.
My mother taught me to use a sewing machine at a young age, which eventually led me to make my own bedspread and pillows for my apartment in college. What a joy it was to see my hard work come to life in the form of a beautifully decorated room!
When I saw my mother crochet a blanket for her bedroom, I knew I had to learn how to do it myself. She brought out my grandmother’s crochet hooks and I was “hooked.” I love sharing in the same excitement for crafting that has been passed down from my grandmother.
What started out as a mission to create the perfect crocheted scarf has now become a love for crocheting and sewing women’s accessories plus more!
Oh and if you’re wondering where the name of this shop came from let me explain… My sweet younger sister, Alexandra, tried so hard to say my name as a baby, but try as she might, the only sound that came out of her mouth when she tried to call me “Elizabeth” was “Bizzy.” And it stuck. To this day my father does not call me anything but “Bizzy” and my sister often calls me “Biz”. Thank you baby Alexandra for creating the name of this shop!
What inspired your new line?
I love scarves, and this past fall I was on a mission to find the perfect chunky & cozy winter scarf. Searching through every store I was unable to find what I wanted. Having just learned how to crochet I decided I would create my own idea of the perfect scarf myself! I loved how it turned out and to my surprise so did everyone else! Every time I wore my handmade scarves, I received so many compliments! I wondered if people might actually purchase them if I decided to sell them, so I gave it a shot!
My shop on Etsy opened just in time for Christmas and I was blown away with how many orders I received! I started out making three different style scarves that all proved to be a hit! I also created some coasters, coffee sleeves and eventually some cozy winter headbands. It has been such a joy for me to see so many beautiful women enjoying the pieces I have made!
My inspiration in creating beautiful accessories for beautiful women comes from the beauty I find in Jesus. God has so graciously gifted me with the ability and passion to craft and because of that it feels like true worship to Him every time I sit down to create a product.
As the winter will soon change to spring, I have recently added a line of jersey knit headbands for both adults and babies to welcome the warmer weather! They are light-weight, stretchy, and can be worn with any outfit! Whether you are going on a run, sitting by the pool or dressing up for a girls night out, these headbands are the perfect accessory!

What is your favorite thing about living in the South?
My favorite aspect of the South is the people. The southern belles, southern gentlemen, and southern hospitality make the south what it is! I am so honored to call the south my home and to be able to share it with so many loving neighbors.
Bizzy’s Boutique is giving away a headband of the winners choice. Enter through rafflecopter below and check out her site to purchase your own products!
