I have known Jenna for almost four years now. We have led worship together at church and we were in the same small group for almost three years. She is just as beautiful on the inside as she is on the outside. And, to top it off, her and her husband are incredibly talented. They own a company called Theology Threads, which I am sure you will hear more about from us later :). Jenna started The Curly Haired Fox after having her doll of a baby, Ryder. As soon as I saw the first pieces she created, I was in love. I have two of her shop’s necklaces, and I kid you not, I wear them AT LEAST twice a week. They go with everything and the modern looks really top off any outfit.
I love being able to showcase products that I really love and wear religiously. So I am very excited to introduce you to Jenna at The Curly Haired Fox.
Tell us a little bit about yourself and why you started The Curly Haired Fox?
I’m Jenna. I’m married to my really hot best friend, Randy, and we have one awesome curly-haired little boy (for whom my shop is named). I am a pretty simple girl, I just enjoy spending time with the people I love most. I love a good Netflix binge. And everyday I need a whole lot of Jesus and coffee.
I am a stay-at-home mama, which is my dream job, but sometimes life can become all-consuming and it’s easy to let the things that you enjoy doing fall by the wayside. For a number of years I was in the music industry, which provided me a creative outlet. However, in the end, it wasn’t the life I truly wanted. Walking away from singing left me without a way to express myself artistically. The Curly Haired Fox is something that allows me to be creative and to have something that is an extension of myself. However, if I’m being really honest…I’m also doing it for the money ;). Because I am a stay-at-home mom, we have sacrificed my income, so finding little ways to make money on the side is always on my mind.
What inspired your new line and/or What inspiration led you to creating your products?
I love accessories and I wanted to create pieces that I would love to wear (and hopefully others would to). I find that most people just want to wear something that makes them feel good and is a reflection of their own individual style. I love natural elements, especially wood, so I knew that’s where I wanted to start. I’m also pretty eclectic, stylistically, so I am constantly seeing things that inspire me to make something new.
Where can we purchase your products?
My pieces can be purchased on my Etsy Store: www.etsy.com/shop/
What is your favorite thing about living in the South?
I am originally from Ohio, where Fall (my favorite season) lasts approximately 3 days…right in between the heat of summer and 9 feet of snow. Down South, Fall seems to last forever and I love it! Just give me a fire, a massive scarf and a pumpkin spice latte. I’m definitely here to stay.
