I had the pleasure of going to a marketing conference in D.C. for work, and as a bonus Ian got to tag along for a mini vacation. I had visited D.C. with my parents when I was younger, but I was excited to go back and see the city with Ian who had never been before.
We started the trip by seeing the White House and the National Mall. Since the weather was so nice, we walked mostly everywhere and bought Metro passes for the day if it was more than a few blocks.
After the end of the conference we took the Metro to Georgetown, which I instantly fell in love with. It is very much like visiting Charleston in the North. All of the shops are built into old buildings and the atmosphere and vibe of the town is very quaint. After doing a little shopping, we walked along the Washington Harbor and had a delicious lobster dinner at Clyde’s downtown.
Here are a few pictures from the trip:
Ian caught me taking selfies at the Washington monument, and it was too funny not to share.
Every city we visit, we take awkward jumping pictures.
We stopped by Founding Farmers for some house made sodas and delicious food.
Ready to hit the hay after a long day of conferences and networking.
We really enjoyed our stay and would love visit again.
Hope you have a fabulous day!
